Once you have detected damage, there are different ways to "settle" the claim. This depends on what type of claim you have selected.
For "Type of claim", select one of the options: comprehensive, partially comprehensive, liability, third-party liability etc.
In the following, we will record the damage costs on the basis of a "fully comprehensive damage". If you have selected something else under "Type of damage" (for example, partially comprehensive, liability, etc.), please proceed in the same way.
If you e.g. select comprehensive for the "type of damage", the following options are available to you during the "settlement"
- Add insured event
Enter the data of your insurance in the mask.
If you already have the insurance settlement, you can enter the remaining cost data via "Enter Billing".
You can now enter the settlement of the insurance in the form. Select either gross or net as an option in the mask. Please note that for "Amount paid by insurance", you enter the amount covered by the insurance, minus your deductible. In the example below, the deductible is 300 euros. This step is important so that you can later understand what the actual cost per damage is.
When calculating the total cost, all the specified items will be considered. Once the claim is resolved click on "Complete claim".
Fleet hereos tip:
Under "Claims" in the menu bar on the left you can see all your open and closed claims.
- If you would like to further analyze this claim, you can do so under the menu item "Reports" and then "Claim overview". Here you can view all claims for a freely selectable time and group them.
- If you need an overview of the damage caused by an employee in preparation for a call, you can quickly call up his claims via the "Driver claim report" in "Reports".
