Why is the chat function not working?

We use Intercom as our communication platform for support, product tours, feature requests and much more. Intercom is used to make your experience with us as seamless and as helpful as possible.

However, on rare occasions, users report that they can't access Intercom. What now? What can be done?

In this regard Avrios recommends 2 things:

1. Is the error related to your browser? Clear your browser history (including cache and cookies) and try again. A little tip for computer experts: To be 100% sure that your problem is not related to your browser, please use the incognito mode on your browser. You can find out exactly how this works here.

2. Is the error related to your ad blocker? One of the most common reasons why Intercom is not displayed for some users is because you have an adblocker or browser extension enabled, or you are using Firefox (which has tracking protection enabled by default). Intercom is not an ad provider, but adblocking plugins can also block JavaScript that contains tracking features! Try temporarily disabling your adblocker or use a browser other than Firefox (you can also disable tracking protection in Firefox for individual websites).
