Why Is Driver Data Synchronisation Important?

In daily fleet management, you often work with multiple tools at the same time.
Without synchronisation, you need to enter the same data in several places – that costs time, creates outdated information, and increases the risk of errors.

The solution:
The Shiftmove Platform keeps your vehicle and driver data up to date and consistent across all connected tools – with no extra effort.

How Driver Data Synchronisation Works

You manage your driver data exclusively in Avrios. The Shiftmove Platform takes care of the synchronisation automatically in the background – all changes are instantly reflected in tools like Vimcar.

The result: No double data entry, fewer errors, more time for what really matters.

Step by Step

1. Create Drivers Directly in Avrios

  • New drivers are always created in Avrios.

  • Updates to driver data or vehicle assignments also take place only in Avrios.

This saves you time and ensures that your driver data is always up to date across all connected Shiftmove tools.

Important:
Only drivers with the Driver App activated will be synchronised, as only these drivers have an active user account.

Tip: It’s best to activate the Driver App right when creating the driver in Avrios.

2. Share Drivers with Other Tools

You can share drivers with other tools like the Vimcar Logbook in two ways:

a) Automatic Sharing When Assigning a Vehicle
When you assign a vehicle in Avrios to a driver that exists in both Avrios and Vimcar, the driver is automatically created in Vimcar – with the correct access rights (for example, to the digital Vimcar Logbook).

b) Manual Sharing via the Shiftmove Platform
Alternatively, you can manually share drivers via the Shiftmove Platform:

  • Click on the Shiftmove icon in the driver profile in Avrios.

  • Select one or more drivers you want to share with other tools.

  • Click once – done.

Select individual drivers:

Select multiple drivers:

Tip: Use the filter function in the Shiftmove Platform to easily display only the drivers who haven’t yet been shared with a specific tool.
For example, you can use the filter Vimcar Status = Send to Vimcar to quickly find all drivers who are not yet available in Vimcar.

💡 How Are Drivers Informed?

Drivers automatically receive an email notification as soon as they get access to a new tool, such as the Vimcar Logbook.
There’s no need to create a new account – drivers continue using their existing Shiftmove login.

3. Keep Driver Data Central in Avrios – Shiftmove Syncs Automatically

As soon as a driver is available in multiple tools, the Shiftmove Platform automatically synchronises the master data.

Any changes you make in Avrios – such as updating a name or email address – are immediately synchronised across all connected tools (for example, Vimcar).

This means you’re always working with the most up-to-date information – with zero extra effort.

What Driver Data Is Synchronised?

When a driver is shared across tools, Shiftmove automatically synchronises all key data:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Assigned vehicles

  • Access rights – for example, to the linked Vimcar digital logbook

Example:
When you assign a vehicle to a driver in Avrios that is also available in Vimcar with a logbook, the driver automatically gets access to that logbook.
The driver can immediately start categorising trips – without additional approval or manual setup.
