If your company uses both Vimcar and Avrios, you’ll need two apps to complete your driving-related tasks. This guide explains step by step how to use them together so that your bookings, trips, and logbook entries are always handled correctly.

Setting up your apps

Your fleet manager will invite you to both the Avrios and Vimcar apps via email. You can log in to each using the same credentials.

When to use which app

  • Avrios App: Book pool vehicles, submit your driver's license for verification, attend safety training sessions, and take care of vehicle-related tasks such as accessing the vehicle’s condition or reporting a damage.

  • Vimcar Logbook App: Record and categorize your trips to keep your logbook complete and tax-compliant.

How to book a pool vehicle and categorize a trip

If you drive pool vehicles, you’ll use both apps: Avrios for booking and Vimcar Logbook for categorizing trips.

1. Open the Avrios App

2. Book your vehicle

  • Use the Avrios App to reserve the desired pool vehicle.

  • Depending on your company's settings, your booking may require approval from your fleet manager.

3. Take your trip – it’s recorded automatically

  • Once you start driving, your trips are tracked in the background, and you’re automatically set as the driver.

4. Categorize your trips in Vimcar

  • Open the Vimcar Logbook App after your trip and assign each journey as business or private.

  • Important: You have seven days to categorize trips. Afterwards, they will automatically be logged as private.

Key takeaways for drivers

  • Use Avrios for all vehicle-related tasks and bookings.

  • Use Vimcar for logging and categorizing trips.

  • Always check and categorize your trips within seven days to stay compliant.

With both apps set up, you’ll always know where to go for each task – making it simple to keep your vehicle responsibilities up to date and your logbook accurate.
