Your employer has decided to work with Avrios for the driving licence check. Now you have received an email/SMS about the driving licence check, but you would like clear instructions on the best practise to carry out the driving licence check. This article explains it step by step:
Important: You need a smartphone or a tablet to perform the driving licence check with Avrios.
Set-up:
Open the mail or SMS. The message will look like the picture.
Click on the link "Set up driving licence check now" in the mail/SMS.
You will now be taken to a specific website where you can carry out your driving licence check. Click on "Get started" there.
You now have to enter your driving licence details once, such as driving licence number, country of issue, date of issue. Important: Please make sure that you enter the information from your driving licence and not from your identity card. Also, double check that the driving licence number is entered correctly!
Select your driving licence type. If it is a credit card format, you can start the check directly. However, if it is a driving licence without a hologram, you will need a hologram sticker for the check. The reason for this is quite simple: in order to become legally compliant, your fleet manager must be 100% sure that your photo of the driving licence is an original and not a copy. With new driving licences (credit card format) the hologram is already included. Unfortunately, this is not the case with old paper driving licences. Therefore, you have to apply a hologram sticker, which we at Avrios have sent to your fleet manager free of charge. He will forward you a hologram sticker. Simply affix the hologram sticker to the paper driving licence - the only legal requirement is that no information may be obscured by it.
Now you are finished with your set up.
Driver's licence check:
Now you can start with the Avrios driving licence check. If you have opened the link with your computer, forward your mail so that you can open it with your smartphone, or enter your mobile number into Avrios. You will then receive an additional SMS from us.
Please take a photo of your driving licence from the front and back. Important: Make sure that the driving licence is completely visible on the picture. Also, make sure that you can see the holograms. In the end, you only have to confirm that you have taken the photos and then you have successfully completed the driving licence check.
