Managing user access and rights can be a complex task, especially when dealing with multiple software applications. To make this process easier, Avrios and Repairfix have developed a new feature that improves user rights management for their joint customers. In this article, we will provide a walkthrough guide to understand this new feature and how it can benefit your organization.
Why was this feature developed?
This new feature was developed in response to high demand from clients with several organizations.
What is the new feature?
The new feature introduces specific roles that define user access based on their organizations.
How is user access managed?
User access is managed through the general user settings in Avrios.
Go to System Settings > Users > Edit user
The new feature adds two columns to this setting: Damage Management and Damage Management Access Level.
The settings modal includes a dropdown with access level options, only available when the Damage Management Access checkbox is active, and the company has an organization feature.
The mandatory dropdown provides the following values:
Administrator (default)
Local Administrator
Local manager
A small description under the dropdown provides more context about each role.
The following table provides an overview of these roles and their respective rights:
Role | Rights |
Administrator | The highest level of access rights including approving and rejecting offers across all organizations. |
Local administrator | Same rights as the administrator including approving and rejecting offers, but their access is limited to the organization they are assigned to. |
Local manager | Same rights as the local administrator except for approving and rejecting offers. Their access is limited to the specific organization they are assigned to. |
In summary, the new user rights management feature in Avrios and Repairfix integration offers a more granular approach to user access and rights providing organizations with better data security and more efficient management of their fleet operations.
