1) Driver License Check: Automatic data readout and guidance for drivers
Driver License Checks in Avrios now use AI to speed up verification and reduce follow-up questions:
Automatic data readout: On the first upload, the AI reads the driver's license number, issue date, expiry date, and country directly from the photo. Manual entry is no longer needed.
Instant guidance during upload: Drivers get immediate feedback if the wrong document was uploaded (e.g. an ID card) or the photo is blurry, so they can fix it themselves before the check reaches you.
What changes for you? The process stays the same: you invite drivers to complete the check as usual and approve it after review. What's new is that the data is already captured by the time you review the check. The manual process remains available as an alternative.
Please note:
This feature is being rolled out gradually: around 40% of customers with Driver License Check are already using it, and it will be enabled for everyone else over the coming weeks.
AI recognition has primarily been tested with European driver's licenses. Since AI can make mistakes in individual cases, drivers should continue to review the detected data.
2) Driver Training (UVV): Up to 40% shorter
We've revised and significantly streamlined the driver training content, while keeping all mandatory topics fully covered.
Up to 40% less time to complete, thanks to a clearer structure and fewer repetitions
Chapter quizzes removed: the content is already assessed in the final test
Final test unchanged: 20 questions, 80% required to pass (questions updated to match the revised content)
All relevant topics remain fully covered
What about trainings already in progress?
Completed trainings remain valid, no retaking is required. Drivers who are mid-training will automatically switch to the new version and restart once. Since the new version is considerably shorter, the additional effort is minimal.
The updated training is already live for UVV users – no action is needed on your side.
